When you think of typical New York movers what do you think of? The movies? Thought so. But what happens when it comes time to actually move, as I’m sure we all do at one point or another. The problem is, nowadays you can’t just look up a mover in the yellow pages because honestly you need good recommendations to know they won’t steal you stuff and run off. The good thing is, there are many companies with good reputations that its almost difficult to find a bad one.

My family got a mixture of things for Christmas big and small. My father namely got a few body shop supplies, because he loves to work in the shop and is currently working on a car. My sister got a few cute things, and the ipod dock thing she wanted! My mother got some very beautiful knick knacks, along with some useful items too! Every year I worry that those I bought things for won’t like them, and every year they love what they got them, I guess that worrying modivates me to get them good gifts?

Sorry for my lack of updates! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking ect over the past few days, and working…which hasn’t left a lot of time for typing. Just watching Stardust for the third time so I figured now would be a perfect time to write a little update!

Christmas was great, being a mixture of normally enjoying Christmas and having my first day off in eight days made for a brilliant day. I got some very nice presents, including money, a digital camera (flickr soon to come), a memory pro card for the camera (sony), a charm bracelet and charm (very Twilight/Stephenie Meyer style!) and a few other things.

I worked today (boxing day) and I can’t wait till I have another day off, luckily two day offs are coming, new years eve and day I have off.

Well, my work Christmas party was last night! I had a great time! Even though I had my friend who was supposed to come with me (believe me that cheesed me right off!). Anyways, I went to the party and had a drink and a half before resorting to pop for the rest of the night. I left the party 100$ richer, so yay me?! My team (which was comprised of myself and one of my co-workers sisters) won 2/3 of the challenges, which got me 20$ each and then I got 10$ for the first game of pictionary my team won. and then 50$ gift certificate as a xmas bonus!

The only bad part? The allergy to cig smoke I have. As…everyone there smoked. EVERYONE. -.-

What is it that makes people want to travel all the way to Chicago to get a Chicago rhinoplasty? It it perhaps the fact that the surgeons there are renown for their skills. Sure you could go to Mexico and try to get a cheapo surgery, but I think my face is worth more then trusting someone for 100$ to change my nose. Now, Chicago is a far away place for some people (me included) and so it gets a bit expensive when you calculate the expenses to stay in a hotel ect. But, if you live close or have relatives in the area there is nothing better then to but your trust in the very very capable hands of Chicago surgeons.

The one thing you have to make sure you do before you but your trust in someone is see the past projects they have done. Make sure they have done a lot of what you want, aka don’t go to a boob guy for your nose.

Saturday was a brilliant day off, after not having one in a while. It was nice to have a REST. I went to my sister’s dance show, which was sooo good. I have to admit she is much much better then she gives herself credit!

I’ve ordered some makeup, so hopefully it comes after if not before Christmas, if I’m lucky that is to have it before Christmas. I can’t wait to make a day trip to the nearest shopping center and go to a craft store, I’ve heard some great stuff about artist brushes in relation to MAC brushes. So, Michael’s here I come!

So I got home from my work Christmas party (more on that later!) and the exterior lighting was all off! If i didn’t know exactly were I lived and how many steps were into the house I would have had serious problems! The one problem? It was icier then expected, luckily I got in the house without slipping! Note to self: Remind mother to leave the lights on, or who knows how bad things could go next time!

Everyone knows, that in order to loose weight and keep it off you need to exercise and eat right. Everything from doing an Ashtanga yoga pose to taking a spinning class can help you take it off and keep it off. The best part of exercise in our modern world is that it can be fun! No need to make yourself doing a boring routine that drags, you can do fast moving dance like motions to music, or run on a treadmill to the sounds of Britney and Madonna!

I know we all hate excise but since its fun and the results are worth the effort to drag your but off the couch. The great thing about exercising at home is that you can watch friends while you do and it and you don’t have to worry about anyone seeing you naked (or in the baggy exercise clothing that scream 20 lbs ago!). So have fun and be healthy, and remember, diet AND exercise is the key.

I love makeup. Anyone who knows me knows that. Eyeliner and eyeshadow rocks my world. The one thing I’ve been dying to try are the MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes. I would love to try them and they apparently last forever. Another thing I’d love to try to you ask? Urban Decay Primer Potion. I have oily lids and this is supposed to rock you world, and keep the eyeshadow on forever.

Sadly, none of this was in my christmas list, but here’s hoping I get something similar anyways.
