New Theme
02.12.08

New theme is coming soon, since valentine’s day is going to come and go in a few days. I’ve been having a busy past few days will class and have a test tomorrow that I should be studying for so I’m going to make this entry pretty quick. As for the future of the site, I’m constantly changing my mind on whether or not to keep it open, I’m just not motivated to blog right now…hopefully that changes by the time I have to choose.

Computer Programs - Advanced
02.12.08

There are so many new programs on the market, you can do everything from your taxes to your performance reviews. Its gotten to the point where you do everything on a computer and it can be done easily with the click of a mouse. The programmers behind all the new programs have to pretty ingenious to come up with the codes ect to get the job done…I can’t even imagine the intensity of it.

Routers.
02.12.08

On ebay you can buy everything from used cisco routers or other networking solutions, the problem with these options is that they can be tweaked by the seller allowing for private information to be accessed. Its better to buy a router or other computer devices from a reputable used dealer or new to avoid running into issues.

Allergies
02.12.08

I have horrible allergies to a lot of things so when it comes to vacuum cleaners it better be doing a good job of cleaning. Over the years they have progressed from the bagged versions to the bag-less kind of the “future” they even have some with UV lights that kill germs in the carpet. I personally like an upright vacuum that is lightweight.

Going to the Hospital
02.12.08

When you go to the hospital there are things you look forward to, like seeing a new baby or finding out test results (when they end up clearing up an issue that you have been worrying about). And then there are the things that you don’t look forward to, like hearing about a negatives of a accident or a colon cleanse (ew). Overall the one thing I think about when I think hospitals is nurses and doctors, because what would a hospital be without them?

Saving Money
02.12.08

When saving money everything helps, recently we got some Kohls coupons in the mail and it got me thinking about how much money one really could save if you used coupons on the majority of your purchases. My thoughts: lots of money if you add it up. So, here comes the coupon clipping!

Flooring
02.12.08

Right now my family is in the middle of trying to find a good tile to replace the flooring we have in the entrance way and extending into the main room part ways. The problem is that we need to match it to the tile in the kitchen somewhat, so that the house somewhat matches. Its sort of a greenish color, so it won’t be that hard…hopefully.

Working out, Finally
02.06.08

I’ve finally started my work out routine, better late then never, and it really makes me see how UNfit I am. I’m looking into getting something like a treadmill, since treadmills seem to give the kind of exercise that I’m looking for (walking without having to go OUTSIDE). I hate bugs, what can I say (and of course its like -40 here 4 months out of the year so going outside during those times don’t seem smart)!

With Maturity Comes Responsibility
02.06.08

When you get a certain age there are certain responsibilities you have to take in order to ensure you loved ones don’t suffer if something bad happens (you don’t want going into debt to be an additional sadness). Things such as term life insurance began to make sense and you actually understand what it offers. I’m not quite at that point in my life yet, so I honestly have no idea about life insurance, other then the fact that my parents have it.

New furniture!
02.06.08

Every now and again its time to get new furniture, and so begins the maze of winding through the furniture stores trying to find the best bargains while not having to sacrifice style and function. I learned a lot in Design Studies in high school and although I didn’t like most of the units I learned what fabrics and colors work in a small or bigger space and which don’t. I also learned that mirrors can be a wonderful tool to make a room look bigger.
